Dürr now offers application technology for paint and high-viscosity materials for additional sectors
Dürr, the world market leader in application technology for the automotive industry, now offers products for the application of paint and high-viscosity materials not only for the automotive industry but also for additional sectors. The new target group “Industrial Products” includes industries such as plastics, wagon construction, shipbuilding, ceramics, wood and furniture.
The industrial product portfolio includes, for example, spray guns, pumps, paint supply systems and electrostatic atomizers for paint application. All components are available with immediate effect. From beginning of 2015, the products will be also available from an online shop. In addition, the products will be sold via system integrators and distributors.
Dürr strengthened its position in this area through the acquisition of specialist companies Bersch & Fratscher (Germany) and EST+ (Czech Republic) in June of this year. Further acquisitions are possible as part of the industrial growth strategy, according to the company. In the medium term, the company aims to become one of the leading suppliers in the industrial area and generate sales of around EUR 100 million per year in this business segment. To this end, Dürr is focusing not only on acquisitions and new product development but also on technology transfer from the core automotive business.
