FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does ‘LV” stands for?
The so-called LV Technology is a patented system in Iwata spray guns that pre-atomises paint before it leaves the nozzle, using less air pressure and air consumption than standard nozzles.
  • What is the difference between Iwata LPH400-LV, LVB and LVX?
The ‘LV’ gun can be considered as the standard version while the ‘LVB’ version can handle paints that contain fine metallic and pearls (which usually cause problems such as mottling and blotching), while the ‘LVX eXtreme’ is made for a wide range of basecoats and engineered to provide increased productivity in application for solvent or waterborne basecoats. Inlet pressures, spray distance and overlap are the same for the ‘LVX’ as for the normal ‘LV’
  • What is the recommended air inlet pressure for Iwata LPH400LVX?
Iwata recommends an air inlet pressure of 1.1 bar [16 psi]
