The Devilbiss Startingline, only available as gravity feed, is the typical automotive refinishing spray gun which is suitable for basecoat, clearcoat and primer. The touchup model complements the StartingLine series. The HVLP atomization makes the range also suitable for sunny California.

The FinishLine FLG-5 is also aimed at automotive refinishing, but with Trans-Tech air caps instead of HVLP and a smaller number of nozzle sizes. However, air consumption can be around 30% lower, which should be considered when choosing the right air compressor.

After several Devilbiss FLG models (including FLG 2,3,4 and FLG 5), Devilbiss decided to call one of the latest models the Devilbiss FLG. The Devilbiss FLG is a general purpose spray gun for use with a wide range of refinish paints and coatings. It is also suitable for automotive refinishing (1.3, 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 mm for basecoat, clearcoat & primer). The 2.0mm nozzle size allows spraying of higher viscosity materials, even in conjunction with a pressure tank if required.

Positive with all three spray guns: Rebuild kits and important spares (nozzle, needle, air cap) are available.
